Halcro makes final ACDA presentation to Visit Anchorage
Anchorage Community Development Authority’s Executive Director, Andrew Halcro, will give his final presentation, “What’s Next for Downtown,” to Visit Anchorage at their virtual membership luncheon on February 18th. Halcro, who will step down in June, will showcase the last six years of accomplishments by ACDA and EasyPark as well as talk about future plans for downtown.
“I am so proud of my team and our accomplishments in downtown over the last six years during one of the most challenging stretches in Anchorage’s history,” Halcro said. The presentation will include updates on key ACDA projects like Block 96 Flats, the 6th Avenue Hotel project, the on-going negotiations to purchase the JCPenney’s garage and Nordstrom building and what the future might hold for both properties.
Halcro was appointed by former Mayor Ethan Berkowitz in 2015 and will step down in June to return to the private sector. A replacement will be appointed by the next Mayor of Anchorage.
