Seasoned land and acquisition executive, Jim Winegarner, has been named Director of Project Acquisitions with the Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA).
Winegarner will provide management and strategic direction for activities related to land acquisition and development projects for the entire Municipality of Anchorage.
“ACDA is focused on expanding and strengthening its economic and development portfolio from Girdwood to Eklutna, as Mayor Bronson moves our city forward,” said Mike Robbins, Executive Director for ACDA. “Jim will play an integral role ensuring we meet our goals and support Mayor Bronson’s momentum.”
Prior to joining ACDA, Winegarner served as a senior policy advisor on real estate projects for the Municipality of Anchorage, land consultant, and Certified Professional Landman (CPL) since 1986 representing Statoil, Brooks Range Petroleum, and ConocoPhillips in acquisitions and divestments of land for high-value development projects throughout Alaska. Winegarner earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Real Estate from Southern Methodist University.
“I’m both honored and eager to help manage and grow Anchorage’s portfolio of projects,” adds Winegarner. “Myriad variables and external factors will be affecting Alaska over 2022 and beyond. The MOA’s diligence to maintain our project and economic growth will be a top priority for ACDA and Mayor Bronson.”
Founded in 1984, ACDA is a public corporate authority for the Municipality of Anchorage. ACDA facilitates community and economic development opportunities and public parking for a safe and vibrant community.
