ANCHORAGE, Alaska, October 20, 2026 — EasyPark, a program of the Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA), announces the opening of its 2027 Park It Forward Community Grant Program, with $100,000 in funding approved by the ACDA Board of Directors. Community organizations and groups with projects that enhance downtown Anchorage are encouraged to apply by November 30, 2026.
Funded through a portion of EasyPark's earned on-street parking meter revenue, Park It Forward supports projects that improve public spaces, encourage community engagement, and contribute to downtown's economic and cultural vitality.
“Every time someone parks downtown, there's an opportunity for those dollars to make a difference in our community,” said Melinda Gant, External & Community Affairs Director for ACDA and EasyPark. “Park It Forward helps turn creative ideas into meaningful improvements and experiences. We're excited to see what our community brings forward for 2027.”
Previous grants have supported the Anchorage Mushing District arch, winter business & art engagement, Jazz on the Lawn, public art, and downtown wayfinding. Fur Rondy was also among the 2026 grant recipients, supporting one of Anchorage's most celebrated winter traditions.
