ACDA Strengthens Development Team with Real Estate Leadership Promotion and Strategic New Hire

Anchorage, Alaska – January 23, 2026 - The Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) is pleased to announce the promotion of John Woodbury to Associate Director of Real Estate, along with the addition of Jody Serrano, who joins the organization as Development Technician. These appointments strengthen ACDA’s capacity to advance strategic development initiatives, manage public assets, and support long-term community investment across Anchorage.

John Woodbury serves as Associate Director of Real Estate, bringing more than three decades of experience in Alaska-based business operations, property-related strategy and development-focused leadership. A lifelong Alaskan, John offers deep insight into local markets, land use considerations and community dynamics that inform effective real estate development and asset management.

In his role, John supports real estate planning, strategic property initiatives and stakeholder coordination that advance long-term development goals. His background as an entrepreneur and publisher has strengthened his expertise in project evaluation, market positioning, contract negotiation and aligning real estate assets with organizational and community objectives.

Jody Serrano serves as Development Technician at ACDA, supporting development coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project support that advance responsible development and community revitalization throughout Anchorage.

Jody brings a multidisciplinary background in community and workforce development, strategic outreach, and sales leadership. Prior to joining ACDA, he worked in resource development and outreach, building partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies. He also served with the United States Peace Corps in Ukraine, collaborating with local governments and community leaders on economic development initiatives. Jody holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Ukrainian.
