ACDA Launches “Meet Me Downtown” to Celebrate the Heart of Anchorage
New campaign gives downtown businesses, restaurants, and event organizers a free platform to promote specials, events, and experiences
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — June 4, 2026 - The Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) is proud to announce the launch of “Meet Me Downtown,” a new community-focused campaign designed to celebrate the energy, businesses, events, dining, entertainment, and experiences that make Downtown Anchorage unique.
Developed in partnership with Visit Anchorage, Municipality of Anchorage, and downtown stakeholders, the campaign encourages residents, workers, and visitors to reconnect with downtown through local events, shopping, restaurants, arts, culture, and entertainment.
Meet Me Downtown will serve as a central platform highlighting what is happening downtown every day — from restaurant specials and retail promotions to live entertainment, and seasonal events.
“Downtown Anchorage is where community comes together — where residents, visitors, businesses, arts, dining, and local experiences all connect,” said Mike Robbins, Executive Director of ACDA. “The Meet Me Downtown campaign is about celebrating the energy and vibrancy of downtown while creating new opportunities to support local businesses, promote events, and encourage people to rediscover everything downtown has to offer.”
As part of the initiative, Meet Me Downtown will also provide a free business toolkit to help downtown businesses promote their sales, events, restaurant specials, and community activities throughout the year. The toolkit is intended to create a unified and collaborative effort to strengthen downtown visibility and engagement.
The campaign builds upon the latest ‘Downtown Anchorage Survey” feedback and ongoing efforts to support downtown vitality, economic development, tourism, and placemaking initiatives.
“Meet Me Downtown” will feature coordinated marketing, social media promotion, community partnerships, and visitor-focused resources designed to showcase downtown as a destination for locals and visitors alike.
